January Announcements

  How Sweet It Is

We are very happy to announce that starting in January we will be using only natural, unrefined cane sugar made from evaporated cane juice in our Halava (fruit flavored dessert). Not only will this be more beneficial for your health, but it tastes better too.

Variety, the Spice of Life

You will notice many new veggie dishes being added to our daily menu. Our motto is, “Variety is the Spice of Life”. And when it comes to vegetarian fare there is an almost unlimited International variety to choose from. Dishes like South African Vegetable and Bean Stew in Peanut Sauce, Thai Vegetables in Tomato, Tamarind Sauce, South Indian Vegetables in Coconut, Yogurt Sauce, and Bolivian Vegetable Stew with Butter Beans are just some samples of the succulent new veggie dishes you will see coming your way at Krishna Lunch.

Krishna Tea? I'll Drink to That!

We are pleased to announce, starting in January Krishna Lunch will be test-serving our own line of custom-made hot/cold herbal teas formulated by our very own master Herbologist Bhakta Duane Wells, made from organic herbs and sweetened naturally with dried Stevia leaves (no sugar!). Each daily offering will feature a different healthful drink directed towards a specific physical or mental capacity to optimize and enhance your total productivity and longevity, and, as always, they’re Karma-Free. Here is our Krishna Tea lineup:

Atma Tea – Atma refers to the soul or real self in Sanskrit. The goal of meditation is to achieve self-realization. While this Tea, made from organic Lemon Grass, Gotu Kola, Ginseng and Chamomile, may not help you to realize the self, it will certainly assist in increasing your levels of concentration.

Shakti Tea – In Sanskrit shakti means energy or power. Made from organic Ginko Biloba, Ginseng, Gotu Kola and Orange Blossom, this tea is certain to give you the midday boost you need to keep you going the rest of the day, along with Krishna Lunch, of course.

Shanti Tea – The Sanskrit word shanti means peace. Organic Rose Buds, Chamomile, Hibiscus Flowers and Lavender go into this Tea and are guaranteed to help relax you and help you stay that way if school stresses you out.

Yoga Tea – In India yogis become immune to diseases and sicknesses we experience through the power of meditation and diet and often live well over 100 years of age. This Tea, made from organic Sassafras, Birch, Sarsparilla and Vanilla may not help you live to be 100, but it will definitely help to build your immune system.

Karma-free Tea – This is our Krishna anti-oxidant Tea blended to counteract all those nasty free-radicals in the air. Made from Rooibus (50x the anti-oxidants found in Green Tea) and Rose Buds, it’s sure to keep you karma, and free-radical, free.
