In the last week of November, 2007, seven hundred and forty-seven Krishna Lunch guests replied to our written survey request. Here are the results, in summary:

Question 1: Overall, how are we doing?

The answers were 95% positive, ranging from 'awesome' to 'good' to 'wonderful'.  (Thank you!)

Question 2:  Which days do you like best?

In order: Wednesday (380); Thursday (279); Tuesday (162); Friday (153); and Monday (149).

Spaghetti and Salad were the most frequently appreciated dishes.

Question 3: Which days do you like least?

In order:  Monday (152); Friday (114); Wednesday (100); Tuesday (94); and Thursday (42).

Monday's green bean veggie had the most detractors.

Question 4:  What dishes would you like us to add? The most frequently requested were:

More Tofu   39
Lasagna 33
Beans   28
Tempeh  27
Curry   23
Cake    21

Due to baking limitations in our kitchen, it's not possible to add lasagna and cake, at least for now. However, as far as possible we will revise our menu this term to accommodate the other requests.

Question 5: How would you like Krishna Lunch to deal with rising costs?

11% said, "Keep the standard donation at $3.00 with no second servings line,
cheaper (but non-eco-friendly) dishware, and limited second helpings.

38% said, "Keep things the same and ask an extra $1.00 donation for second helpings."

52% said, "Keep things the same and increase the requested single plate donation to $4.00 and Lunch Card donations to 10 meals for $30, 6 meals for $20 and 3 meals for $10."

We will reorganize our requested donation structure accordingly.

Additional Suggestions: By far the most popular suggestion is to reward those who bring their own plates, cups and forks. We're going to do it. How? See the artickle on our Quarter Back Program.
